SkateMaps

SkateMaps is a mobile app that allows skateboarders to easily find new places to skate and meet other skateboarders in their area. Users can adjust their search radius and their mode of transport when searching for pre-loaded locations, and they can upload new locations to the app’s database as well.

Its user interface is utilitarian but encourages users to stay connected and active through its messaging capability. With pops of purple and turquoise against a dark, neutral background, the app’s color palette and graffiti graphics call to the rebellious nature of the app’s users.
