Primus and Tool Concert Poster

This set of silkscreen concert posters is inspired by those of the 1990s, when silkscreen was the industry standard as it made poster designs easily reproducible. The event advertised on this poster is entirely fictional, yet realistically could have occurred contemporaneously with its inspiration.

Like concert posters of the 1990s, this design utilizes vibrant colors to draw attention and a clear type hierarchy to quickly advertise the event. The illustration playfully references the subject matter in both bands’ album covers and slightly pokes out of the frame on either side to add dimensionality to an otherwise very two-dimensional composition.
